11 Professors demand University of California end COVID vaccine mandates

Eleven professors from the University of California (UC) demanded the university end its Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine mandates or accept legal liability and personal responsibility for any vaccine injuries.

The professors laid out their demands through a letter, which InfoWars published on Nov. 27. According to the letter, the UC administration made the bivalent COVID-19 boosters mandatory in September for all faculty, staff and students beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year. This shift, they added, suggests that “boosters will be required in perpetuity.”

“The undersigned 11 members of the UC faculty from several campuses, sent the following letter to university administrators calling on them to reverse this new mandate. To date, we have received no response,” it stated.

The letter was also sent to nine UC student newspapers for publication as an op-ed. Two student publications – UC Los Angeles‘ Daily Bruin and UC Berkeley‘s Daily Cal – initially agreed to publish the letter. However, the two papers backtracked on their earlier decision due to “pressure from [officials] higher up.”

In particular, they cited the L.A. Unified School District’s (LAUSD) suspension of COVID-19 vaccine mandates for students in the same month as UC’s announcement of mandatory bivalent boosters. The LAUSD’s move followed a Superior Court decision ruling that the school district did not have the authority to mandate vaccination. Furthermore, the professors pointed out that the state has only made boosters mandatory for health workers.

“Nationwide, the trend is toward eliminating all mandates. The rate of hospitalizations is radically down and COVID-related deaths now appear to be about on par with annual deaths from the flu.”

“We are deeply concerned about the coercive nature of this medical procedure,” they wrote. “The shift in UC policy from fully vaccinated to up-to-date signals anticipation of an open-ended process of continuous vaccinations and boosters that goes far beyond addressing a temporary emergency.” (Related: OBEY: University of California announces flu vaccine mandate for all campuses.)

COVID-19 shots do more harm than good, UC profs argue

The professors argued in their letter that the COVID-19 injections cause more harm than good. They noted that initially, UC’s president justified the original vaccine mandate “on the assumption that vaccination would protect against COVID-19 infection and prevent transmission.”

“We now know it does neither,” they remarked. “More than 150 peer-reviewed studies demonstrate that natural immunity acquired by recovering from a COVID-19 infection is equal to, if not superior to, vaccination. COVID-19 shots increase rather than decrease the risk of contracting and spreading the virus.”

They also noted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention‘s (CDC) remarks toward the new bivalent COVID-19 boosters. “The CDC has ‘recommended’ and not mandated the new booster. [UC’s] decision to mandate boosters at this time is, therefore, not in accordance with CDC guidelines,” the professors stated.

Furthermore, they also cited “mounting evidence [of] serious risks associated with vaccination, especially for healthy males [aged] 18 [to] 39.” In particular, the professors pointed to a mortality analysis done by the Florida Department of Health (DOH) stating an 84 percent increase in death for men in the 18- to 39-year-old cohort within 28 days of vaccination with the mRNA shots. The DOH’s analysis also found that males over the age of 60 had a 10 percent increased risk of cardiac-related death in the same 28-day period.

According to the professors, the demographic most affected by the vaccines “includes the vast majority of [UC’s] student body and large portions of staff and faculty.”

The professors concluded their letter with a challenge: “If UC leadership continues to insist on this ill-advised action, are they ready to accept full personal responsibility and legal liability for the multitude of harms certain to result?”
